A horse’s rampage and more in Grand Theft Auto 4 (Game mods of the week)

In Game mods on November 14, 2012 at 7:13 pm

A horse walks into a bar and the bartender gets shot in the face with a shotgun after making a long face joke, before that same horse starts shooting or stabbing to death everyone inside the building before it gets gunned down by a police officer.

Sounds crazy I know, but that’s not just some bizarre “joke” I made up but in fact some of the things you can possibly wound up doing on Grand Theft Auto 4 thanks to user made mods.

Yes since the Grand Theft Auto series struck serious gold after its first entry with a 3D graphics engine (GTA3 of course), that and all games onwards have been released on multiple platforms including PC and made a colossal bucket load of money.

The PC versions of the past few Grand Theft Autos including the most recent entry to date (Grand Theft Auto 4 of course), has been subject to thousands of player created mods both small and large.

Today we are looking at some relatively small but hilarious mods for GTA4 on the PC, which allow you to swap the standard player character model for an animal either real or fictitious.

For example if you fancy you can charge into cars and send them flying as a giraffe…

…or strut around the streets as a dog (albeit with a funny walk at the back)…

…you can even turn a boat in the water into a massive shark of death! Everyone’s going to need a bigger boat with this thing around.

However, my favourite animal mod of all has to be this horse, which is demonstrated in spectacular and hilarious fashion in the video below.

While I personally can’t say I’ve pushed it to the limit, I think the horse here does a great demonstration as to how great it would be to do just that. As Winston Churchill once said: “No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle”.
